Royal Caribbean Advances Hero of the Seas Debut With Two Added Sailings
The 5,654-guest ship is now scheduled to begin carrying paying passengers from Miami on August 1, 2027.

Royal Caribbean has moved up the debut of Hero of the Seas by scheduling two voyages before the ship’s previously planned August 11, 2027 inaugural sailing.
The new first revenue voyage will depart Miami on August 1 for seven nights, visiting Perfect Day at CocoCay, Costa Maya, Roatan and Cozumel. A three-night getaway to CocoCay is scheduled to follow on August 8.
The cruise line says the 5,654-guest vessel will feature nine pools, a New Orleans-inspired supper club and what it describes as the first funnel raft slide at sea. Accommodations will include a three-level Ultimate Family Treehouse suite designed to sleep 12 guests.
Passengers already booked on the August 11 inaugural may transfer their reservation to one of the earlier departures. Royal Caribbean will waive change fees through October 14, although transferred bookings will be repriced at the prevailing fare.
