Royal Caribbean Adds Legend of the Seas to Fleet
The new ship begins with Mediterranean service before shifting to seven-night Caribbean cruises from Fort Lauderdale.

Royal Caribbean welcomed Legend of the Seas to its fleet in July 2026 following construction at Finland’s Meyer Turku shipyard. The vessel spent its first months operating in the Mediterranean before repositioning for the 2026-2027 winter season.
Legend of the Seas has more than 2,800 staterooms and, according to the cruise line’s stated figures, can carry over 7,600 people when all berths are occupied. Its seven-night winter itineraries from Fort Lauderdale generally include Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island destination, along with ports in the Eastern and Western Caribbean.
Among the ship’s dining attractions is Royal Railway – Legend Station, which serves a five-course Silk Route dinner aboard two simulated train cars seating about 24 guests each. The experience features performers portraying conductors and digital scenery that responds to the cars’ simulated movement. Advance reservations are required.
The ship also introduces the Hollywoodland Supper Club, inspired by the glamour of the 1930s and 1940s. For entertainment, Legend of the Seas debuts a production of Charlie & the Chocolate Factory in the Royal Theater.
