Repeat sailings offered different itineraries, activities and cabin value
A traveler’s experiences aboard Royal Caribbean and Celebrity ships showed how the same vessel can deliver a different trip on a later cruise.

The traveler said she sailed twice within one year on both Symphony of the Seas and Freedom of the Seas. During a July 2023 four-night Freedom cruise, the itinerary included Nassau and Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas.
For a later Freedom sailing, she and her fiancée secured a balcony stateroom through a travel agent for the price Royal Caribbean’s website advertised for an interior cabin.
Her two Symphony cruises also differed by itinerary. The first visited St. Maarten, St. Thomas and CocoCay, while the following month’s Western Caribbean voyage called at Roatán, Honduras, and Costa Maya, Mexico. She also intentionally postponed the ship’s AquaTheater production and zip line until the second trip.
The traveler reported a similar contrast aboard Celebrity Ascent. A Caribbean cruise visiting St. Kitts, San Juan and Tortola differed from a Greek Isles sailing, although she described the onboard portions as largely alike.
Deployment and ship updates can also affect repeat-cruise options. The report said Carnival Jubilee is scheduled to operate from Galveston, Texas, in 2027 and 2028. It also noted that Oasis of the Seas received a major 2019 renovation adding the Ultimate Abyss dry slide, Playmaker’s Sports Bar & Arcade and a resort-style pool deck.
