Queen Mary 2 set for extensive 2027 dry-dock refurbishment
The Cunard ship will gain 31 staterooms, upgraded guest spaces and expanded kennel facilities during work in Brest, France.

Queen Mary 2 is scheduled to enter dry dock in Brest, France, on March 31, 2027, for an extensive refurbishment. The Cunard ship is expected to resume service the following May.
Plans call for 31 additional staterooms across the vessel, including 16 new suites. Cunard parent Carnival Corporation said some existing suites will also receive updated interiors, furnishings and finishes. Their redesigned bathrooms will feature a new appearance and premium spa-inspired elements.
The project will include upgrades to two restaurants, enhancements to retail areas and improvements to other guest spaces. Passengers will also have access to additional outdoor deck space after the work is completed.
Queen Mary 2’s kennel facilities will be redesigned and expanded to accommodate more animals. The refurbishment will also update the owners’ lounge and enlarge the outdoor walking area.
Carnival Corporation describes Queen Mary 2 as the only ship offering regularly scheduled trans-Atlantic crossings between Southampton and New York.
