Pua towel animal appears aboard Disney Believe media cruise
The pink-towel figure accompanied a clue directing reporters toward the next stage of a Castaway Cay scavenger hunt.
Reporters sailing on the Disney Believe media cruise found a towel animal modeled on Pua, the pig companion from Moana, waiting on their bed. The figure was made from pink towels, while stickers formed its eyes and added personality. Its design followed a Pascal chameleon towel animal that also used eye stickers.
An accompanying clue invited the reporters to pick up a cup intended to provide revitalization the next morning before continuing their scavenger hunt on Castaway Cay.
Pua is also planned as part of the Disney Believe interior. A statue of Moana is set to welcome guests in the ship’s Grand Hall, with her animal companions Pua and Heihei represented alongside her.
The Disney Believe has a Promises and Possibilities theme. The report connected Moana with that concept through her determination to travel beyond her island’s reef, respond to the ocean’s call and discover what lies beyond the horizon.
