Princess Cruises wins 2026 shore excursions award
The World Cruise Awards recognized the cruise line for its destination experiences, including locally developed, culinary, active and private tours.

Princess Cruises has been named World’s Best Cruise Line for Shore Excursions 2026 at the World Cruise Awards. The honor was announced at the Princess Grand Hotel in Jamaica.
The cruise line’s Local Connections program includes more than 250 experiences worldwide developed with local experts. According to Princess, the tours focus on the people, traditions and lesser-known stories of destinations, with options exploring local food, art, culture and heritage.
Culinary excursions may feature cooking classes, market visits, tastings, winery tours and meetings with local producers. Active offerings include hiking, kayaking, cycling and other outdoor pursuits shaped by each region’s terrain and natural environment.
For guests seeking a more personalized itinerary, Princess also offers private vehicles for half-day or full-day exploration. Drivers are included, while guides are available with selected options.
Princess says guests who reserve excursions through the cruise line are covered by its Guaranteed Return to Ship commitment. If a Princess-booked tour is delayed, the company says the ship will wait or transportation to the next port will be arranged when necessary. Availability and suitability depend on the destination and individual excursion, so travelers should review tour details before booking.
