Princess Cruises to Revise Payroll Process for Filipino Crew
The company plans to bring mandatory Philippine deduction processing in-house beginning with its September 2026 payroll.
Princess Cruises plans to change how mandatory deductions and salary allotments are handled for Filipino crew members, according to a shipboard payroll notice distributed to crew. The revised process is scheduled to take effect with the September 2026 payroll.
Under the new system, the Shipboard Payroll team will no longer send the allotment portion of a crew member’s wages to Magsaysay, Princess Cruises’ Philippine Global Talent Partner. Instead, Princess Cruises will process required Philippine deductions internally.
Filipino crew members will be responsible for transferring the required allotment to the bank account of their designated allottee. The notice states that crew members’ overall pay will not change as a result of the revised process.
Magsaysay will continue handling required contributions to Philippine agencies after it receives deductions processed by Shipboard Payroll, according to the notice. Brightwell will also continue processing crew deposits.
