Princess Cruises plans Melbourne homeport return for 2028–29
Crown Princess is scheduled to sail from Station Pier, with the cruise line estimating an economic benefit of up to A$40 million for Victoria.

Princess Cruises will return to Melbourne as a homeport from the 2028–29 Australian summer season, allowing Victorian passengers to board Crown Princess at Station Pier rather than travel interstate.
The cruise line estimates the Melbourne season could contribute up to A$40 million to Victoria’s economy. The number of departures and complete itinerary details have not yet been announced.
Princess plans to reveal its full 2028–29 Australian summer program, including the Melbourne deployment, on 28 October 2026. The itineraries are due to go on sale from 11 November 2026.
For its 2026–27 Australian season, Princess is operating 62 departures across 42 itineraries, ranging from short coastal cruises to longer voyages around Australia, New Zealand and the South Pacific. Crown Princess will be joined by Royal Princess, Grand Princess and Coral Princess.
Crown Princess is currently carrying 3,080 guests and 1,200 crew on a 28-day circumnavigation of Australia. Scheduled calls include Adelaide, Albany, Fremantle, Broome, the Kimberley Coast, Darwin and Brisbane before the ship returns to Sydney.
