Princess Cruises opens Rose Parade float contest for Elite members
Four Captain’s Circle Elite members will receive trips for two and opportunities to ride aboard the cruise line’s float in Pasadena in 2027.

Princess Cruises is inviting eligible Captain’s Circle Elite members to enter its Share Your Princess Story contest for a chance to ride aboard the company’s floral float in the 138th Rose Parade presented by Honda. The parade is scheduled for January 1, 2027, in Pasadena, California.
Participants must submit an essay of 300 to 500 words about the memories, connections and destinations that have shaped their experiences with Princess. Entries are open through September 22, 2026. Princess says four winners will be selected by October 6, with each receiving a trip for two and an opportunity to ride on the float along Colorado Boulevard.
The contest is open to qualifying adults in the 50 United States, the District of Columbia and Canada, excluding Quebec. Entrants must have completed at least 15 Princess cruises or 150 Princess cruise days when the contest began.
Artistic Entertainment Services is designing and building the float, which is planned to measure approximately 55 feet long and 22 feet high. According to Princess, it will feature more than 320,000 flowers, seeds, leaves, pieces of bark and other natural materials while representing destinations in Alaska, Japan, Australia and Europe.
