Princess Cruises ends local sales operations in Taiwan
Existing reservations and this year’s scheduled sailings remain unaffected, while future bookings will move to international or overseas channels.

Princess Cruises has stopped accepting new reservations through its Taiwan branch after ending local sales operations in the market. The branch, Carnival Taiwan, ceased operating its website, social media platforms and local sales functions on Aug. 31.
The cruise line said existing bookings and sailings scheduled for this year are unaffected. Customers seeking future itineraries or making new reservations will need to use Princess Cruises’ international website or other overseas sales channels.
Taiwan International Ports Corp. Chair Chou Yung-hui said the sales withdrawal would not alter Princess Cruises’ planned calls at Taiwanese ports this year. The strategy change could affect sailings in 2027 and 2028, while the ports corporation plans to continue discussions with the cruise line.
People familiar with the matter said Carnival has also ended local sales operations in other Asian markets, including China, Hong Kong and South Korea. According to those sources, the company continues to operate directly in Japan and Singapore.
