Power outage briefly disrupts Adventure of the Seas cruise
Emergency generators supplied limited electricity during an approximately 30-minute loss of power after the ship departed Coco Cay.

Royal Caribbean’s Adventure of the Seas experienced a ship-wide power outage that disabled most non-essential systems, including climate control and the majority of lights, as many passengers were preparing for dinner.
Emergency generators provided minimal electrical power, but emergency lighting was largely limited to common areas, leaving many staterooms without light. A passenger writing on Reddit reported hearing people yelling from an elevator during the disruption.
The same passenger said an announcement about 30 minutes later indicated that power had been fully restored. The outage was described as lasting approximately half an hour, and there were no reports of serious injuries or other serious harm.
Adventure of the Seas had departed Port Canaveral, Florida, on September 4 for an eight-night round-trip Caribbean sailing. The outage occurred shortly after the ship left Coco Cay, Royal Caribbean’s private island and the cruise’s first port of call.
