PortMiami prepares passenger flow measures for 2026-2027 cruise season
The port expects 81 high-season days when seven to 10 cruise ships will call.

PortMiami is taking steps to streamline passenger movements at its terminals ahead of the 2026-2027 cruise season. Passengers will receive reminders to arrive only at their scheduled embarkation times, as well as directions showing the most direct route to their cruise terminals.
Travelers embarking from Cruise Terminals AA, A, B, C or D will be directed to enter through the PortMiami Tunnel. The PortMiami Bridge will be recommended for passengers using terminals E, F, G, J and V.
A pilot program beginning in October 2026 will offer complimentary transfers to Miami International Airport for Carnival Celebration passengers on select dates. PortMiami’s existing complimentary airport shuttle program for guests aboard Royal Caribbean’s Icon of the Seas will continue.
PortMiami is also working with software developer GridMatrix to introduce AI-powered traffic monitoring around the port. On particularly busy days, personnel from the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office and City of Miami Police Department will help manage traffic.
