PortMiami Marks 10 Million Cruise Passengers in Fiscal 2026
The milestone was reached about two weeks before the port’s fiscal year ended on September 30.

PortMiami announced that it welcomed its 10 millionth passenger of fiscal year 2026 on September 14, reaching the milestone before the close of the reporting period. The port’s fiscal year ran from October 1, 2025, through September 30, 2026.
The passenger total had already surpassed the previous annual record by at least 1.43 million. PortMiami handled 8,564,225 passengers in fiscal 2025, up 4.02% from 8,233,056 in 2024. With the final two weeks of September still excluded, fiscal 2026 traffic was nearly 17% higher than the 2025 record.
PortMiami attributed the growth to stronger demand for cruises from Miami, investment in new terminals and a widening selection of cruise ships and operators. Separately, an economic assessment commissioned by the port estimated that its overall operations produce $61.4 billion in annual economic activity. The assessment also linked PortMiami activities to 340,078 jobs and approximately $2.2 billion in state and local tax revenue.
