Port of Truro receives its first working cruise ship
National Geographic Endurance called on the River Fal, with guests going ashore by tender to visit the Trelissick estate.

The Port of Truro welcomed its first working cruise ship when National Geographic Endurance arrived on the River Fal on Friday morning. The vessel, which has capacity for 138 guests, moored near Trelissick, a National Trust property.
Passengers traveled from the ship to shore aboard Zodiac tenders. During the visit, they spent time exploring the Trelissick estate before returning to the vessel.
The call marked a first for the working port, whose area extends into Carrick Roads as far as Mylor and St Just. The Port of Truro said it hopes to welcome additional cruise vessels in the future, building on the arrival of National Geographic Endurance.
