Port of Palm Beach seeks bids for $43 million cruise upgrade
The proposed terminal and berth improvements would accommodate longer ships and expand passenger-processing and baggage areas.

Port of Palm Beach commissioners have voted to seek competitive bids for a proposed $43 million upgrade to the Florida port’s cruise terminal and berth. No construction contract had been awarded at the time of the report.
According to the port, the project would add mooring dolphins designed for longer ships and install a new passenger loading bridge. Plans also include construction of a parking garage, along with additional space for passenger screening and baggage laydown.
The port identified the improvements as a priority in its 2023 master plan.
Port of Palm Beach currently serves as the homeport for Margaritaville at Sea Paradise. The 1,680-passenger ship has operated from the port since April 2022.
