Port of Palm Beach moves forward with cruise facility expansion bids
The capital improvement project would upgrade the cruise terminal and berth to support future growth.

Port of Palm Beach commissioners have voted to invite bids for an expansion of the port’s cruise facilities. The capital improvement project is intended to address infrastructure needs at the cruise terminal and berth.
Planned upgrades include adding mooring dolphins to accommodate longer ships and purchasing a new passenger boarding bridge. The project also calls for increased passenger screening capacity, more baggage laydown space and construction of a parking garage.
The expansion was listed as a priority in the port’s 2023 Master Plan. Port Executive Director Michael Meekins said the proposed package of improvements would create opportunities for future cruise growth at Port of Palm Beach.
Margaritaville at Sea Paradise currently homeports at Palm Beach. The 1,680-passenger ship has operated from the port since April 2022.
