Port of Honolulu reopens as two Norwegian ships resume operations

Pride of America departed late on August 16, while Norwegian Spirit’s embarkation shifted to Monday.

The Port of Honolulu reopened following an inspection, allowing two Norwegian Cruise Line ships to resume homeport operations. Passengers aboard the vessels and those waiting for delayed sailings were able to proceed with revised plans.

Embarkation for Pride of America moved forward later than scheduled, and the ship departed late on Sunday, August 16. The sailing was shortened to a six-night itinerary. Norwegian Cruise Line said guests would be informed of itinerary changes after the revised plans were confirmed.

Passengers booked on Norwegian Spirit were asked to move their embarkation from Sunday to Monday while retaining the same arrival time slots they had previously selected. Norwegian Cruise Line had not confirmed an updated itinerary for the ship’s next voyage.
