Philippine ports record 70 cruise calls in first half of 2026
Cruise vessels carried 165,340 passengers to destinations including Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, Pangasinan and Palawan.
The Philippine Ports Authority reported 70 cruise ship calls at its ports from January through June 2026, representing a 4.48 percent increase from the same six-month period in 2025.
According to the authority, the vessels brought 165,340 cruise passengers to destinations across the Philippines. Cruise activity extended beyond Manila, with international ships visiting ports in Ilocos Sur, Ilocos Norte, Pangasinan and Palawan, as well as other destinations on Philippine itineraries.
The passenger arrivals created opportunities for local tourism businesses through shore excursions, cultural and heritage tours, sightseeing, shopping and other visitor activities, the ports authority said.
The cruise figures formed part of broader first-half activity at PPA ports. The authority generated P16.34 billion in revenue during the period, which it attributed to sustained growth in cargo volumes, container traffic and cruise ship calls.
