PhilaPort Cruise Terminal Opens Near Philadelphia Airport
Norwegian Cruise Line is deploying Norwegian Jewel and Norwegian Pearl seasonally from the new Delaware River facility.

The new PhilaPort Cruise Terminal has officially opened in Tinicum Township near Philadelphia International Airport, marking the completion of a multiyear effort to restore regular cruise operations to the Delaware River.
During the terminal’s grand opening, 1,900 guests boarded Norwegian Jewel. The ship is part of Norwegian Cruise Line’s Philadelphia expansion, which is focused on seasonal deployments of Norwegian Jewel and Norwegian Pearl.
Both vessels are midsize ships carrying roughly 2,300 guests and are suited to the region’s sailing conditions and terminal infrastructure. Norwegian says its Philadelphia operations support more than 2,000 local jobs and produce an additional $300 million in revenue for regional hospitality businesses, including hotels, car services and tour operators.
