P&O Cruises’ Arcadia to Join Holland America Line in 2029
The 2005-built ship will undergo a major refurbishment as part of Holland America Line’s multi-year fleet transformation program.

P&O Cruises’ Arcadia will transfer to Holland America Line in 2029, the cruise line said. The move will provide Holland America with additional capacity amid continued demand growth and add another ship to its Holland America Evolution program.
Arcadia entered service in 2005 and measures approximately 84,340 gross tons. Before joining the Holland America fleet, the vessel is scheduled to receive a major refurbishment. The company plans to determine over the next several months which venues and features will be included in the work.
Holland America Evolution is a multi-year initiative designed to introduce new venues, restaurants and staterooms aboard older ships. In addition to Arcadia, the project includes Oosterdam and Zuiderdam. Oosterdam is expected to return from its refurbishment in fall 2027, followed by Zuiderdam in April 2028.
