Ogden Point cruise schedule remains busy as September begins

The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority listed 56 cruise ship arrivals for September after recording 68 in August.

Cruise ships were scheduled to call at Ogden Point during the week as September began, continuing a busy period for Victoria’s cruise traffic. The Greater Victoria Harbour Authority’s main schedule listed 68 arrivals in August and 56 scheduled arrivals in September.

Norwegian Cruise Line was expected to represent the largest share of potential passengers that week. Norwegian Joy, Norwegian Bliss and Norwegian Encore were estimated to carry a combined 12,131 people.

Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas and Anthem of the Seas could carry an estimated 8,919 passengers combined. Princess Cruise Lines’ Royal Princess and Star Princess accounted for an additional 7,860 potential passengers.

At the beginning of the season, the Greater Victoria Harbour Authority projected that Victoria would receive more than one million cruise passengers over the course of 2026.
