NurseCon at Sea Adds Back-to-Back Mediterranean Cruises for 2028
The nursing conference sailings will operate aboard Holland America Line’s Nieuw Statendam between Feb. 26 and March 11, 2028.

NurseCon at Sea has scheduled two consecutive Mediterranean itineraries aboard Holland America Line’s Nieuw Statendam for 2028.
The first seven-night cruise will leave Barcelona on Feb. 26, calling at Rome, Naples, Santorini and Ephesus before arriving in Athens on March 4. The second sailing will depart Athens that day and operate round trip through March 11, with visits to Dubrovnik, Kotor, Santorini and Ephesus.
Nurse Blake said more than 3,000 nurses were in the virtual queue when registration opened. He said Holland America worked with the event team to arrange the additional Mediterranean voyage in less than 48 hours. The second cruise subsequently reached 99% sold in approximately two hours.
According to Nurse Blake, participants will have an opportunity to earn more than 30 nursing continuing professional development contact hours during the sailings. He said pricing varies by occupancy and stateroom category, with space available for around $2,000 per person. That amount includes seven nights in a stateroom, standard meals, most onboard entertainment, conference registration, taxes and fees, gratuities and Wi-Fi.
