Norwegian urges vigilance after guests report suspicious booking emails
Passengers said messages containing detailed Norwegian Getaway reservation information sought additional payment authorization under threat of cancellation.

A passenger scheduled to sail aboard Norwegian Getaway on Oct. 12, 2026, alleged receiving at least six suspicious emails two days before departure. The messages purported to represent Norwegian Cruise Line and included specific, accurate details about the family’s reservation, according to the passenger.
The passenger said the emails came from a joinorderly.com address and directed recipients to a website that did not appear to be affiliated with Norwegian. The messages allegedly warned that the booking would be canceled unless the recipient verified it through the site.
Another Norwegian guest said they followed the link because the message contained their cruise details and the sailing was approaching. The guest provided an additional card authorization, but said their bank blocked the attempted transaction and canceled the card.
One commenter said Norwegian advised that it was aware of the issue and working on it. The cruise line has also posted a guest advisory encouraging travelers to remain alert for suspicious communications and to avoid unfamiliar links or sharing payment information.
The source of the reservation details has not been determined. While third-party booking companies were identified as one possible source, no cause has been established.
