Norwegian shares rise after Carnival tops quarterly estimates
Carnival reported stronger-than-expected earnings and revenue, record net income and higher customer deposits.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings shares traded higher Tuesday, potentially reflecting investor reaction to quarterly results from rival Carnival Corporation. At the time of publication, Norwegian stock was up 4.96% at $15.02, according to market data cited in the report.
Carnival posted adjusted earnings of $1.43 per share, exceeding the consensus estimate of $1.36. Revenue reached $8.435 billion, compared with analysts’ consensus estimate of $8.300 billion.
The company reported record net income of $1.9 billion and adjusted net income of $2.0 billion. Carnival also said third-quarter customer deposits increased nearly 7% from the previous year’s record despite flat capacity growth.
Carnival has completed approximately $1.2 billion in share repurchases year to date. It also increased its fiscal 2026 adjusted earnings-per-share guidance to $2.24 from $2.22. The company attributed the revision to more than $150 million in adjusted net income improvement compared with its June guidance, despite higher fuel prices.
