Norwegian Gem to Begin Year-Round Philadelphia Cruises in 2028
The ship is scheduled to offer seven-night voyages featuring Norfolk and overnight calls in Bermuda.

Norwegian Cruise Line plans to base Norwegian Gem at the PhilaPort Cruise Terminal for year-round operations beginning in April 2028. The deployment will provide a local departure point for passengers from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, reducing the need for those travelers to fly to cruise ports in Florida or New York.
Norwegian Gem is expected to operate seven-night itineraries that call at Norfolk and include extended overnight stays at Bermuda’s Royal Navy Dockyard. The cruise line said the schedule is intended to give passengers more time in the destinations.
Ahead of Norwegian Gem’s arrival, Norwegian Pearl is scheduled to continue serving Philadelphia on a seasonal basis. Its planned voyages will range from five to 10 nights and visit the Caribbean and Bermuda.
