Norwegian expands fleet, destinations and advisor commissions
The cruise line is growing its Europe and Asia programs while upgrading its private island and preparing its largest ship.
Norwegian Cruise Line is expanding its fleet after Norwegian Luna entered service this year. Norwegian Aura is already available for booking ahead of its scheduled debut next year, when it is expected to become the cruise line’s largest ship.
The company’s 2026 Europe program will deploy nine ships across 27 countries, with sailings in the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, the Baltics and Iceland. Norwegian also has more than 30 Asia itineraries across Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asia through 2028.
Norwegian has upgraded Great Stirrup Cay, its private island in the Bahamas, with a new arrival pier, a larger pool complex and adults-only relaxation areas. A major waterpark is also opening in phases.
The cruise line recently introduced a brand platform emphasizing flexibility, freedom of choice, dining experiences and stress-free holidays. In a separate trade-focused change, Norwegian eliminated all non-commissionable fares, making the entire cruise fare commissionable for travel advisors.
