Norwegian Cruise Line tops second-quarter estimates as outlook softens
Revenue rose 4.9% in the second quarter of 2026, although adjusted earnings declined from a year earlier and recent commentary pointed to reduced guidance.

Norwegian Cruise Line reported adjusted earnings of $0.48 per share for the second quarter of 2026, above the $0.39 consensus estimate cited in an Aug. 20 report. Quarterly revenue reached $2.64 billion, slightly exceeding the $2.63 billion consensus figure and increasing 4.9% from the same period a year earlier.
Despite the revenue growth and better-than-expected quarterly results, adjusted earnings per share fell from $0.51 in the second quarter of 2025. Recent commentary cited in the report also said the cruise company had lowered its earnings and yield expectations from its earlier guidance.
A stock overview dated Aug. 21 said Norwegian Cruise Line shares closed at $16.75 after declining 3.5% during the session. According to that overview, the shares had fallen 26.5% since the beginning of 2026.
Separately, an Aug. 20 valuation snapshot placed the company’s estimated fair value at $21.55 per share, compared with a market price of $16.75. On that measure, the snapshot estimated the shares were undervalued by 22.3%.
