Norwegian Cruise Line takes top honor at World Cruise Awards
Abu Dhabi, Australis and Pandaw were among the other winners announced during a gala ceremony in Jamaica.
The World Cruise Awards named Norwegian Cruise Line the world’s best cruise line for 2026 during a gala ceremony in Jamaica on 12 October. The company prevailed in a field of nominees that included MSC Cruises, Royal Caribbean International and Silversea.
In destination categories, the awards selected Abu Dhabi as the world’s best cruise destination. Vietnam received the title of world’s best river cruise destination, while Lisbon was chosen as Europe’s best river cruise destination.
Australis was named the world’s best expedition cruise line. Pandaw took the award for world’s best river cruise line, and DouroAzul was recognized as Europe’s best river cruise line.
The awards also identified Sun Princess as the best cruise ship for food-focused travelers. The ship was reported to have seven specialty restaurants.
The winners were revealed as part of the sixth edition of the World Cruise Awards.
