Norwegian Cruise Line receives top 2026 World Cruise Awards honor
The cruise line was selected through voting by industry professionals and the public.

Norwegian Cruise Line was named World’s Best Cruise Line 2026 by the World Cruise Awards. The honor, the organization’s highest global cruise line distinction, was announced on Oct. 12 during the sixth annual awards ceremony in Jamaica.
Winners across the World Cruise Awards categories were determined by votes from cruise industry professionals and members of the public. The nominees receiving the most votes in their respective categories were selected as winners.
The recognition follows several additions for Norwegian Cruise Line in 2026. The company welcomed Norwegian Luna, expanding its Prima Plus Class fleet. At Great Stirrup Cay, the nearly six-acre Great Tides Waterpark opened in September with 19 waterslides, The Wandering River, cliff jumps and a dedicated children’s splash zone.
Expedia also named Great Stirrup Cay the Best Private Island for Cruises in its 2026 Island Hot List.
Norwegian Aura, the cruise line’s newest and largest ship, is scheduled to begin welcoming guests on May 2, 2027. Its inaugural Mediterranean voyages are set to be followed by Caribbean cruises departing from Miami.
