Norwegian Cruise Line opens Great Tides Waterpark at Great Stirrup Cay
The nearly six-acre attraction debuted Sept. 4, 2026, with 19 waterslides, an immersive river, cliff jumps and a family splash area.

Norwegian Cruise Line has opened Great Tides Waterpark at Great Stirrup Cay, its private-island destination in The Bahamas. The nearly six-acre park began welcoming guests on Sept. 4, 2026, adding 19 waterslides, cliff-jumping attractions and new food and beverage options.
The waterpark is arranged into four sections: Tidal Tower, Cliffside Cove, Wandering River and Splash Cay. Its 170-foot Tidal Tower contains eight slides, including Tropic Spiral, which Norwegian describes as the world’s first Nautilus slide. The tower also features Breakwater Blasters, billed by the cruise line as the Caribbean’s first dueling Master Blaster slides.
Wandering River extends for more than 800 feet and incorporates an immersive tunnel. The area also includes Floataway Bar, a swim-up venue beside the river.
Designed for families, the Splash Cay zone covers more than 9,000 square feet. Its features include a 300-gallon tipping bucket, eight smaller slides and interactive water elements.
Passengers booked on Norwegian itineraries that call at Great Stirrup Cay may buy admission to Great Tides Waterpark through their myNCL accounts after completing a cruise reservation.
