Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Plans Five Ship Departures as 17 Newbuilds Approach
The fleet changes span Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises through 2028.
Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings plans to add 17 ships over the next decade while five existing vessels leave its three brands: Norwegian Cruise Line, Oceania Cruises and Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Italian shipbuilder Fincantieri is constructing all 17 planned newbuilds.
Norwegian Sky is scheduled to depart Norwegian Cruise Line in fall 2026 under a 10-year bareboat charter with India-based Cordelia Cruises. The ship will be renamed Cordelia Sky. Norwegian Sun is due to follow in 2027 through a separate 10-year charter and will take the name Cordelia Sun.
Oceania Regatta is expected to leave Oceania Cruises in late 2026 for a multi-year charter with Australian travel brand My Cruises, operating year-long world cruise itineraries. Oceania Sirena is scheduled to leave in spring 2028 after its sale to an undisclosed buyer. Oceania will charter Sirena back to complete its currently scheduled voyages before the final handover.
Seven Seas Navigator is set to depart Regent Seven Seas Cruises in 2028. Avora Residences plans to convert the vessel into an ultra-luxury residential ship named Avora Lumina.
