Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings pauses Daniel’s Head development plans
The cruise company will not move forward for now with a potential project at the vacant tourism property in Sandys, Bermuda.

Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings has decided not to proceed for now with plans involving Daniel’s Head, according to the Bermuda Land Management Corporation. The corporation said the company notified it last month that it would not pursue the development project.
The cruise operator signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding in July 2025 to explore possible investment in the vacant tourism site in Sandys.
A Bermuda government spokesman said the memorandum was not an agreement to develop Daniel’s Head. The spokesman also said the Bermuda Land Management Corporation had not provided Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings with a lease or any other development rights for the property.
According to the spokesman, discussions about the site were exploratory. Any potential development would have required additional assessment of the concept and finances, along with engagement with stakeholders.
