Norwegian Aura to debut with two Mediterranean sailings in May 2027
Norwegian Cruise Line’s newest and largest ship will operate voyages between Trieste and Athens before repositioning toward Miami.

Norwegian Cruise Line has announced two inaugural Mediterranean itineraries for Norwegian Aura, beginning May 2, 2027. The company describes the vessel as nearly 1,130 feet long and approximately 170,000 gross tonnes, making it 10% larger than Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna.
The first itinerary is a 10-day cruise from Trieste, Italy, to Athens, Greece, departing May 2. Scheduled calls include Dubrovnik and Split in Croatia; Bar, Montenegro; and the Greek destinations of Corfu, Santorini and Mykonos.
A nine-day return voyage will leave Athens for Trieste on May 12. Its itinerary includes Rhodes, Mykonos, Santorini and Corfu in Greece; Bar in Montenegro; and Split and Zadar in Croatia.
According to Norwegian Cruise Line, Norwegian Aura will include Ocean Heights, an outdoor activities complex, as well as a Whitney Houston tribute production and the line’s first specialty Indian restaurant.
After the two inaugural cruises, the ship is scheduled to depart Trieste on May 21 for a seven-day sailing to Barcelona. Norwegian Aura will then travel to Miami for Caribbean cruises.
