Norwegian Aura to debut new spa, dining and recreation concepts

Norwegian Cruise Line has outlined wellness, dining and recreation plans for Norwegian Aura, which the company describes as its largest ship yet and the latest evolution of the Prima Plus Class.

The ship’s two-level Mandara Spa is planned with a Thermal Suite offering 15 amenities, including 11 new contrast-therapy experiences. Norwegian says the wider complex will feature 24 treatment rooms, a salon, Skin Lab, medi-spa services, acupuncture and a fitness center with training studios and wellness programming.

Norwegian Aura is also expected to have 22 food and beverage options representing more than 10 cuisines. Tamara will debut as the cruise line’s first specialty restaurant devoted to Indian food. On Deck 6, the complimentary Panorama Room is planned with LED displays, multi-channel audio, synchronized lighting and visuals that change during the day and evening.

The Ocean Heights recreation area is set to include six slides, an 82-foot ropes course, a multilevel obstacle course, Moon Climber, carnival-style games and nine-hole mini golf. Plans also call for overhanging cabanas overlooking Vibe Beach Club and a dedicated bar.

Norwegian Cruise Line plans to launch the ship on May 21, 2027, with a seven-day Mediterranean sailing from Trieste to Barcelona. A 13-day transatlantic voyage to Miami is scheduled to follow.
