Norwegian Aura to debut in 2027 with new dining and activity venues
Norwegian Cruise Line’s future largest ship is scheduled to begin sailing in the Mediterranean before repositioning to Miami.
Norwegian Aura is scheduled to debut May 21, 2027, as the largest ship in Norwegian Cruise Line’s fleet. The vessel is planned to offer 22 food and beverage options spanning more than 10 cuisines, including Tamara, which the company describes as its first specialty restaurant dedicated to Indian cuisine.
Among the planned complimentary venues is the Panorama Room on Deck 6. Norwegian Cruise Line says the restaurant will feature LED displays, multi-channel audio, synchronized lighting and visuals that change throughout the day and evening.
The ship’s Mandara Spa is set to occupy two decks. Its Thermal Suite is planned with 15 wellness amenities, 11 of which the cruise line identifies as new experiences. At Ocean Heights, scheduled attractions include the 82-foot Aura Ropes Course, the Aura Midway with carnival-style games, and a nine-hole miniature golf course.
Following a seven-day maiden voyage in the Mediterranean, Norwegian Aura is expected to make a transatlantic crossing to Miami. From PortMiami, the ship is planned to operate week-long Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries through 2028.
