Norwegian Aura to Add New Spa and Dining Concepts
Norwegian Cruise Line has outlined wellness and culinary plans for its Prima Plus Class ship, including a two-deck spa and two new restaurants.
Norwegian Cruise Line has revealed new wellness and dining offerings planned for Norwegian Aura, which the company describes as its largest ship to date and the newest addition to the Prima Plus Class.
The Rockwell Group-designed Mandara Spa will span two decks. Its Thermal Suite is set to include 15 wellness amenities, with 11 new experiences centered on contrast therapy. Among the planned features is a Sensory Rain Pool offering a 360-degree progression from calm water through tropical rainfall to a simulated thunderstorm with lightning and thunder sounds. Norwegian says the pool will be the first experience of its kind at sea.
The ship’s culinary lineup is planned to encompass 22 food and beverage options across more than 10 cuisines. Tamara, Norwegian’s first specialty restaurant devoted entirely to Indian food, will be located on Deck 8. Its design will draw from North Indian temples and courtyards, while an open-view kitchen will feature tandoor ovens.
The complimentary Panorama Room on Deck 6 will use expansive LED displays, multi-channel audio and changing visuals to alter the dining environment throughout the day.
