Norwegian Aura to Add Indian Specialty Dining and Immersive Restaurant
The 168,000-gross-ton ship is scheduled to launch in May 2027 with capacity for 3,840 guests.
Norwegian Aura is under construction at Fincantieri’s shipyard in Italy and is planned as a sister ship to Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna. Scheduled to launch in May 2027, the 168,000-gross-ton vessel will accommodate up to 3,840 guests.
The ship is set to feature 22 food and beverage venues, compared with 17 aboard its sister ships. Among the additions will be Tamara, a specialty restaurant dedicated to Indian cuisine. Pricing for the restaurant had not been confirmed at the time of the announcement.
Another new venue, the complimentary Panorama Room, is planned as an immersive dining experience. The space will use LED displays, multi-channel audio and synchronized lighting, with visuals designed to change during the day.
Norwegian Aura’s wellness facilities are planned to include a two-deck Mandara Spa. Its thermal suite will offer 15 wellness amenities, including a sensory rain pool that can shift from calm water to simulated tropical rainfall and thunderstorm effects, accompanied by artificial lightning and rolling-thunder sounds.
