Norwegian Aura adds two inaugural Mediterranean sailings for May 2027
Anticipated early delivery will allow Norwegian Cruise Line’s planned largest ship to begin service ahead of its previously announced program.

Norwegian Cruise Line has opened bookings for two new Mediterranean voyages aboard Norwegian Aura, which is now scheduled to welcome its first guests on May 2, 2027. The company said the additional sailings were made possible by the ship’s anticipated early delivery.
The first itinerary is a 10-day cruise from Trieste, Italy, to Athens, departing May 2. It will visit Dubrovnik and Split in Croatia; Bar, Montenegro; and the Greek destinations of Corfu, Santorini and Mykonos. A nine-day return voyage leaves Athens on May 12, calling at Rhodes, Mykonos, Santorini and Corfu in Greece, Bar in Montenegro, and Split and Zadar in Croatia.
Planned at nearly 1,130 feet and about 170,000 gross tons, Norwegian Aura will be approximately 10% larger than Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna. Its features will include Ocean Heights, an outdoor activities area across decks 18 through 21 with waterslides, an 82-foot ropes course, an obstacle course and carnival-style games. Dining additions include Tamara, which the cruise line describes as its first dedicated Indian specialty restaurant, and the complimentary Panorama Room.
After the inaugural cruises, Aura is scheduled to sail from Trieste to Barcelona on May 21, followed by a 13-day Atlantic crossing to Miami. Seven-day Eastern Caribbean itineraries are planned from June through October 2027.
