Muscatine to close part of Riverside Park for American Melody visit
The riverboat call will be American Cruise Lines’ final Muscatine stop of the 2026 Mississippi River season.

The City of Muscatine will temporarily close the downriver boat launch and an adjacent parking lot at Riverside Park on Tuesday, Oct. 13, to accommodate the American Melody’s downtown docking.
The closure, affecting the area near the park’s Iowa Avenue entrance, is scheduled from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. The city said the upriver boat launch will remain available, preserving river access for boaters and anglers during that period.
American Melody is expected to arrive in Muscatine at about 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 12. Passengers are scheduled to visit the city from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, with the vessel due to depart at 1 p.m.
According to the city, the call will conclude American Cruise Lines’ visits to Muscatine during the 2026 Mississippi River cruise season.
