MSC World Atlantic launched in France ahead of 2027 delivery
MSC Cruises plans to base the LNG-fuelled vessel at Port Canaveral for alternating Caribbean itineraries beginning in November 2027.

MSC World Atlantic has been launched at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France, marking another stage in the vessel’s construction.
MSC Cruises said the ship will remain at the French yard for interior outfitting and final technical work before its scheduled delivery in 2027. The vessel is expected to become the 25th ship in the cruise line’s fleet and the fourth LNG-fuelled ship in its series.
Beginning in November 2027, MSC Cruises plans to deploy MSC World Atlantic from Port Canaveral. The ship will operate alternating seven- and 14-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. According to the company, the sailings will include Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve in the Bahamas, while Grand Turk has also been identified as a destination.
The ship will be organized into seven districts, each offering a different atmosphere, range of facilities and entertainment. Its design will incorporate both European and American influences.
MSC World Atlantic will also be equipped with a dual-fuel propulsion system intended to operate mainly on LNG. Five engines will provide a combined output of approximately 80 megawatts.
