MSC World Atlantic launched in France ahead of 2027 delivery
The dual-fuel cruise ship is planned for Caribbean service and will become MSC Cruises’ fifth vessel capable of operating on LNG.

MSC Cruises has launched MSC World Atlantic at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in Saint-Nazaire, France. The vessel is designed to operate using either liquefied natural gas or conventional fuels.
Delivery is scheduled for 2027. MSC Cruises plans to deploy the ship on Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries beginning in November of that year.
MSC World Atlantic is expected to be the fifth LNG-capable ship in the cruise line’s fleet. MSC Cruises received MSC World Europa in 2022 and MSC Euribia in 2023, followed by MSC World America last year. MSC World Asia, another vessel in the series, is due to begin operating in December.
The additions reflect MSC Cruises’ continuing rollout of ships able to use LNG while retaining the option to operate with conventional fuels.
