MSC World Atlantic floats out at French shipyard
The future 25th ship in MSC Cruises’ fleet is scheduled to begin Caribbean service from Port Canaveral in November 2027.

MSC World Atlantic has completed its first float-out at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard in France, moving from its construction dock into the harbor. Work remains underway on the ship’s interiors, including its public areas.
MSC Cruises says the vessel will accommodate as many as 6,758 guests across 2,582 cabins. Planned attractions include seven pools, with adults-only options, as well as an aqua park and ropes course. A family-oriented clubhouse is set to feature bumper cars, roller skating and basketball, while the ship will also have multiple restaurants and entertainment venues.
The cruise line plans to deploy MSC World Atlantic on seven- and 14-night Caribbean itineraries from Port Canaveral beginning in November 2027. Carnival Festivale is another ship expected to join the port’s lineup, with sailings anticipated to start in May.
