MSC Status Match Extends to Cruise and Hotel Loyalty Members
Eligible travelers can apply for an MSC Voyagers Club tier match, but the program limits members to one match and requires periodic MSC sailings to retain points.

MSC Cruises allows eligible members of other cruise line, hotel and tour operator loyalty programs to apply online for a status match in the MSC Voyagers Club, according to the report. Participating cruise loyalty programs include those operated by Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, Disney and Celebrity Cruises.
Match levels vary by program and existing tier. The report says Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite members are matched to MSC’s Classic tier, while World of Hyatt Explorist members receive Gold status. Applicants should receive an email within 72 hours after submitting the online application.
Travelers may request only one MSC status match during their lifetime, the report says. MSC Voyagers Club points expire when a member does not complete an MSC cruise within five years, or 60 months. If status expires, the member’s points balance is reset, and the member returns to the Classic tier under a new identification number. Under the program’s terms and conditions, members cannot seek another status match after the original match has expired.
