MSC Poesia drops Endicott Arm from three Alaska sailings
The September cruises will instead arrive six hours earlier in Juneau, giving passengers additional time in Alaska’s capital.

MSC Cruises has informed passengers that MSC Poesia will not complete its scheduled scenic cruising through Endicott Arm on three seven-day Alaska voyages departing from Seattle. The change applies to sailings beginning Sept. 7, 14 and 21.
In its notification to guests, the cruise line attributed the itinerary revision to seasonal operational considerations. A report on the change said forecasts for heavy morning fog around the glacial passage, along with reduced daylight late in the season, contributed to the decision. The report said those conditions could affect navigation and limit passengers’ views of the fjord.
MSC Cruises has revised the schedule to provide six additional hours in Juneau. MSC Poesia is now expected to arrive in Alaska’s capital at 8 a.m., rather than the previously scheduled 2 p.m., extending the time available for passengers to explore the destination.
