MSC Poesia completes first regular Alaska season
The ship is repositioning to Miami before scheduled returns to Seattle in 2027 and 2028.

MSC Cruises has completed its first regular Alaska season, with MSC Poesia ending its final 2026 voyage on September 28. The ship arrived in Seattle in May after a refurbishment and became the company’s first vessel to operate a full regular season in the region.
The program featured seven-night sailings from Seattle, with calls at Juneau, Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point and Victoria, as well as scenic cruising in Alaska’s fjords. On the final cruise, which departed September 21, planned scenic cruising through Endicott Arm was omitted because of what MSC described as seasonal operational considerations. The company instead scheduled an earlier Juneau arrival, providing about six additional hours in port, and offered onboard credit for the change.
MSC Poesia has begun a 19-night repositioning voyage from Seattle to Miami through the Panama Canal. The itinerary includes calls in California, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama and Colombia, including Los Angeles, San Diego, Cabo San Lucas, Puntarenas, Colón and Cartagena.
During winter 2026-27, the ship is scheduled to operate five- to 11-night Caribbean cruises from Miami. MSC plans to return Poesia to Seattle for the 2027 and 2028 Alaska seasons. The 2028 deployment is scheduled from April 24 through September 18, with weekly seven-night itineraries.
