MSC Cruises closes status match applications in three European markets
Previously approved loyalty levels will remain valid, while pending applications will continue to be reviewed.

MSC Cruises ended new status-match applications in Spain, France and Italy on October 15, 2026. Customers in those markets can no longer submit requests to have status from another loyalty program recognized by the MSC Voyagers Club.
Applications filed before the cutoff will continue to be assessed for an eligible match, according to the cruise line. MSC Cruises said Voyagers Club levels already awarded through Status Match will remain valid and will follow the club’s usual requirements for maintenance, renewal and upgrades.
The change does not alter Voyagers Club membership tiers, benefits or opportunities to earn points. In related frequently asked questions, MSC Cruises attributed the decision to the continuing development of its commercial and customer-loyalty strategy, while reaffirming its commitment to rewarding and retaining guests through the club and other loyalty initiatives.
At the time of publication, status-match applications were still available through MSC Cruises websites serving the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Austria and other markets. No end to the program in those countries had been confirmed.
