Morningstar: Sandals Stake Broadens Royal Caribbean’s Resort Exposure
The cruise company’s investment adds exposure to the all-inclusive resort category, according to a Morningstar report.

A Morningstar report says Royal Caribbean’s stake in Sandals expands the cruise operator’s exposure to the all-inclusive resort category. The report frames the investment as an addition to Royal Caribbean’s position in the broader vacation industry.
Morningstar describes Royal Caribbean as the world’s second-largest cruise company when measured by revenue. According to the report, the company operates 71 ships spanning five global and partner brands within the cruise vacation sector.
The report names Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Silversea among the brands operated by the company. Together, those cruise brands and the Sandals stake give Royal Caribbean a presence across its established cruise operations and the all-inclusive resort category, based on Morningstar’s assessment.
