Margaritaville at Sea to deploy Beachcomber in Galveston in 2027
The ship will begin a 13-month Galveston deployment after opening its inaugural season from PortMiami.

Margaritaville at Sea will deploy Beachcomber in Galveston from Oct. 1, 2027, through Oct. 31, 2028, following an inaugural season from PortMiami beginning in early 2027. The cruise line has two five-year renewal options for Galveston.
The company attributed the temporary move to Miami’s Bulkhead Rehabilitation Project and related berthing constraints during construction. Beachcomber will operate four- to seven-night cruises from Galveston and introduce Veracruz, Mexico, as a new port.
Other listed destinations are Aruba, Key West, Curaçao, Grand Cayman, Montego Bay, Belize, Progreso, Roatán, Cozumel, Grand Bahama Island and Bimini.
Beachcomber has capacity for 3,450 passengers and is on its final cruise as Costa Fortuna for Costa Cruises. Following its handover to Margaritaville at Sea, the ship will undergo a 12-week dry dock transformation at the Navantia-owned Harland & Wolff facility in Belfast, receiving Margaritaville branding, public spaces and accommodations.
The cruise line says Beachcomber will offer 15 experiences created exclusively for the ship. It will also feature a live music venue developed in collaboration with Zac Brown.
