Margaritaville at Sea Plans Galveston Debut for Beachcomber
The cruise line’s newest and largest ship is scheduled to begin sailing from the Texas port in October 2027.

Margaritaville at Sea plans to enter the Galveston market with Beachcomber in autumn 2027. The vessel is scheduled to debut in Miami in January 2027 before relocating to the Texas port in October.
From Galveston, the company plans to offer four-night Cozumel Express sailings and seven-night cruises featuring destinations including Aruba, Bimini, Curaçao, Grand Bahama Island and Key West.
Beachcomber will measure more than 100,000 gross tons and include several established Margaritaville venues. Planned features include the Five O’Clock Somewhere poolside bar and lounge, which the company describes as its largest of that type, along with the License to Chill outdoor deck, LandShark sports bar and Permanent Reminder tattoo studio. The ship will also introduce Same Boat, a live-music venue developed with country artist and brand ambassador Zac Brown.
The Galveston Wharves Board of Trustees approved a Margaritaville at Sea operating agreement in August 2026. Under the arrangement, the line will share Terminals 25 and 28 with Carnival Cruise Line, Disney Cruise Line and Princess Cruises. The initial 13-month term requires at least 200,000 embarkation and disembarkation passenger movements. Two possible five-year renewals would raise that requirement to 210,000 and 220,000 movements, respectively.
