Margaritaville at Sea Islander makes inaugural Curaçao call
The ship’s arrival at the Port of Willemstad marked the Margaritaville at Sea brand’s introduction to Curaçao.
Curaçao welcomed Margaritaville at Sea Islander on its inaugural visit to the Port of Willemstad, adding the ship to the growing number of cruise vessels visiting the island.
A traditional plaque exchange ceremony was held aboard Islander to commemorate its first call at the Curaçao port. The ship’s captain participated in the ceremony with representatives from Curaçao Ports Authority, Curaçao Tourist Board, Maduro Shipping and Curaçao Customs.
The inaugural arrival introduced the Margaritaville at Sea brand to Curaçao and further connected the island with the international cruise industry. The onboard ceremony brought together the captain and representatives of the port, tourism, shipping and customs organizations to mark the vessel’s first visit to the destination.
